An interesting novel about life This is a flowing, witty novel, Milan Kundera`s writing has a lyrical quality. I later discovered that Milan Kundera is also a jazz musician (trumpet), which I had strangely suspected as I read this book. As abstract and unlikely as this may sound, the structure of his story, the shifting high and low moods, the continuous flow despite everything, made me think only a jazz musician or someone who thinks like a jazz musician (had a jazz musician`s mind) could write a novel like this… it`s a beautiful book, I highly recommend it. I`d be interested if anyone else who has read this book perceived this too.
