Mahmoud Falaki was born in 1951 in northern Persia on the Caspian Sea (Ramsar). Studied chemistry and library science in Iran. Studied German and Iranian Studies at the University of Hamburg. He received his doctorate in “Goethe-Hafis: understanding and misunderstanding in the interrelationship of German and Persian culture”. PhD.
His literary work includes poetry, short stories, novels and literary criticism, of which 22 books are available to date.
