داستان درباره دو دوست دانشگاهی، مهرداد و یونس، که در رشته فلسفه دانشگاه تهران با هم همکلاسی بودند. مهرداد درس خود را نیمه تمام گذاشت، به آمریکا رفت تا با دوست نامه ایش، جولیا، ازدواج کند و در این مدت او هیچ خبری از مهرداد نداشت تا روزیکه مادر مهرداد از او خواست تا به فرودگاه دنبالش برود . وقتی یکدیگر را دیدند به رستوران رفتند و یونس درباره جولیا از او سوال کرد. مهرداد گفت که او دیوانه است و میپرسد که خداوند میلیون ها سال جهان را آفریده است و چرا او تاکنون در این دنیا نبوده و کجا بوده است، حالا او دچار سرطان شده و دختر چهار ساله ای هم دارند.
The story is about two friends, Mehrdad and Yunes. They were classmates in Tehran University in Philosophy course. Mehrdad didn`t finish his university and went to U.S.A to marry with his pen friend, Julia, and Yunes had no news from him for many years. Now Mehrdad`s mother wanted Yunes to went after him at airport. When Mehrdad came they went to a restaurant and Yunes asked Mehrdad about his wife and he told that she is mad, because she said God has created the world millions years ago and where was she these years and they also had a four years old girl, now his wife has cancer.
